Adding Document Classification on Document Trust
September 8th, 2026
Classification becomes a standard operation we perform on all Document Trust Analyses.
You can now see which document was actually detected on a Document Trust Analysis as well as the document's country no matter if you specified a type in you request payload.
A new document_classification object is returned on a Document Trust Analysis.
{
"type": "payslip",
"document_classification": {
"document_type": "payslip",
"country_code": "FR"
}
}document_typeis the detected document type.typestill reflects what you requested.country_codeis the issuing country detected on the document, as an uppercase ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code.
We aim to progressively depreciate the extracted_from_document.document type field as this new object will be fully replacing it.
Supported document_typesNew
document_typevalues are added over time. Treat a value you do not know as un-recognised rather than rejecting the payload. Check the Document Trust Analysis endpoint to see the list of supported documents or the full guide here.
