Group legal representatives and UBOs by role in Workflow Collect

You can now assign a role to the individuals of a company in a Workflow Session, so that Workflow Collect lists the documents of legal representatives and Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs) in separate sections.

Use the new optional role field on the Applicant. It accepts two values:

• legal_representative: the Applicant is a legal representative of its parent company.
• beneficial_owner: the Applicant is an Ultimate Beneficial Owner of its parent company.

Set it when you Create a new Applicant or Update an Applicant. It is returned on Get an Applicant, List Applicants, Generate Workflow Session Links and in the Applicant webhook payloads.

What changes in Workflow Collect:

• The individual documents are grouped in a Legal representatives section and an Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) section.
• Individuals with no role are listed in a separate Individual documents section.
• Once every document of a section is verified, the section is marked as complete and collapsed.
• If none of the child Applicants has a role, the page stays as it is today.

How it works:

• The role is meant for child Applicants (Applicants with a parent_applicant_id).
• On update, an omitted role keeps its current value and a null value clears it.
• Any other value returns a 400 error.
