Improved
Verify a document's type in a fraud-only Document Trust Analysis
September 8th, 2026
A fraud-only analysis (analysis_type.extraction set to false) previously had to be sent without a type. You can now include one, on both request formats of Initiate a new Document Trust Analysis.
The document is classified first, and fraud detection only runs when the detected document matches what you asked for.
- On the
multipart/form-dataformat,typestays optional. Omit it and nothing changes: the document is classified for information only, and fraud detection always runs. - On the
application/json(Applicant) format, typeis required. country_codeis optional on a fraud-only analysis. Send it and it is checked alongside the type. It still has to be one of the countries the type supports.
When the document is not the one you asked for, the analysis stops before fraud detection runs :
| Outcome | status | status_codes |
|---|---|---|
| The detected type is not the one you asked for, or the right type from another issuing country | failed | DA_1003 |
| No supported type was recognised on the document | failed | DA_1004 |
| The classification could not be completed | inconclusive | DA_1100 |
